Donny L. Crook, a defendant who was convicted of first-degree murder, appeals a circuit court judgment sentencing him to death. We have jurisdiction. See art. V, § 3(b)(1), Fla. Const. For the reasons expressed below, we reverse Crooks death sentence and remand the case for the imposition of a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole to be served in addition to the two life sentences for convictions we have previously affirmed arising out of the same circumstances.
